1. Free time so I can get things right. So lucky! actually not luck. I sacrificed a lot to get here. I'm so lucky the opportunities were open to me.

Immigration office lady was kind, quick and spoke English. She didn't deny my application because I forgot my housing contract and my passport was about to expire. Nice.

Today I realized that my ARC expires tomorrow- made a frantic call to my manager only to find that she was out of town and had forgotten to forward on my work permit. Argh!!! Well another manager took it upon herself to express mail the work permit, and it will be here just in time tomorrow! Yes!!!!

today my students took me to the store on their lunch break to get me a new bag :) I'm so lucky to have such supportive students who will help me whenever I need it
